THE DOMINO STATE

About Me

Formed in London in 2006, The Domino State first attracted attention in the capital’s shoegaze scene, but are influenced as much by the epic tunes of Echo and The Bunnymen as they are by Ride and My Bloody Valentine.
They closed last year by opening for Coldplay at the O2 Arena, after high profile support slots on tours with M83 and Longview, as well as several festival appearances.
The Domino State had a fantastic 2008, attracting great live reviews, radio playlisting (including Steve Lamacq's Rebel Playlist winners @ BBC 6Music) and a steadily increasing following, and 2009 looks set to be even better. They are currently focusing their energy on recording their (as yet untitled) debut album, due for release this summer.

THE DOMINO STATE - Press

"The Domino State make brooding, intense music that knocks spots off much of the competition." The Independent

"In heart-in-lungs showstopper 'Iron Mask', The Domino State have got one of the singles of the year...everyone should be falling over themselves to go see 'em…" The Fly

"When we say that The Domino State really could join that list of life changing important bands its really not a case of PR hyperbole but a statement of fact...listen to the new single "What's The Question" - possibly the most epic, ambitious single you'll hear all year!!" Designer Magazine

"The Domino State have made quite possibly the independent single of the year." Tasty Fanzine
