It all began when Sandy Mears (Drummer) & Nolan Vertigan (ENVY's original guitarist) decided that, after many years of talking about it they would start a band, along with their friend Paul Abbott (Bassist). Originally called 'Tight-rope' they started casually jamming together on a weekly basis. After deciding they needed another vocalist, the guys asked friend Debbie Lake if she would like to attend one of their re-hearsals. This was when the original ENVY was born! In October 2004 ENVY were ready for their first gig which they had organised for family & friends in March 2005. After a great response, they decided they were ready to take on the local pub circuit. ENVY started contacting local venues & began to receive regular bookings. After a packed 18 months, Nolan decided to leave the band but still keeps in touch & we often see him Rockin' Out with us! That’s when second guitarist Mark Whistler joined ENVY. He done a great job considering he was thrown in at the deep end. But in August 2006, left ENVY too. Then Stefan Judd took over as ENVY's guitarist! ENVY have now recorded 4 amazing demos, which you can hear a few tracks from on our MySpace page! Since then, ENVY have worked very, very hard rehearsing NEW pub & rock sets along with NEW function/party material too, spreading the ENVY love around various pubs & venues through 2007. Then Paul, ENVY's bass guitarist left the band & has now been replaced by Chris Coady, originally ENVY's function keyboard player. As you probably have guessed, ENVY needed a new keyboard player so ENVYs friend Jon has now taken over that position. ENVY have finally started gigging for 2008 which we are all happy and excited about because we love it! ENVY have got lots of NEW great songs for you all too hear and come rock out too!
