Where I come from: A small town in central California - north of the Sacramento valley...
Where I've been: Oregon, Washington St., Western Canada, Mexico, Northern Texas, Southern Texas, Manhattan N.Y., Western Side of Florida, Oklahoma and Nevada
Where I might be heading in the future: A small town - get away from city living and traffic.. Right now my sights seem set on the Mid/Southern Oregon Coastal area...
What cracks me up: Playing 'London Calling' on the guitar; allows me to sing; real loud - and of course I have to stop for every cord change
What pleases my eyes: I Love the reflection of lighted water on an interior wall...
My taste in music: Southern, Indie, and Alternative Rock are my forte
Something I believe in: A cup of coffee preceding the workday...
What I look forward to: The weeks my son stays w/ me (2 week of every month) - He cracks me up constantly, and, coming home to have my kitties sit on my lap and let their head sink into my chest...
What soothes my soul: the ocean - she's my 'mama'; my 'therapy'...
When is music required: When doing housework... is best accomplished only with good music playing in the background....
My best friend: My mom is the best friend this life has offered thus far...
A theme that has played out most of my life: Optimism... I feel that it is a requirement for this life...
What I've come to accept: That I'm getting older, that my legs are short, but most of all: I've come to accept myself...
Musical instruments that have colored my life: I am a flutist by major yet also dabbled in saxophone, oboe, bassoon, french horn, and clarinet (would only be able to still play flute and sax though)...
What I dislike (well, ok, hate): homoney and cleaning showers - I can live with cleaning showers, but have yet to bring myself to eating homoney...
My favorite thing to do in the day: I LOVE the snooze button on the clock by my bed - it and I are having a great relationship - but it only occurs in the mornings; the rest of the day I'm on my own...
What turns my triggers: Pottery, Writing, Crocheting, Cooking, Card Making, Designing from scratch, etc...
The thing I need to let people know up-front: I'm a low maintenance friend and am at my best with friends that are low maintenance also...
And, what I have faith in: humankind

Artist Statement:
My illustration is about always moving forward and never letting anything hold you back.
In this illustration I am made up of blocks almost like a wall. The cracks in the wall show what I have been through and that I have not been broken. I look mad in the illustration like I am about to fight. But in the top left there is a crow showing that at the same time I am still a free peaceful person.
I hope that people can understand that it is a good thing to have these two sides of you and to know how to control them.
