The Lowreys - GIG OFFER AVALIABLE

About Me

..
Five member indie, ska, alternative pop band The Lowreys have been together for about a year mixing Indie, Rock, Pop, Ska and Funk together to create a unique blend of music that uses catchy melodies pushed forward by driving music. Collectively the band holds over 12 years of playing experience in various bands and ensembles and now The Lowreys plan on using that experience to push the band into the spotlight of the Leicester Music scene.
In 2007 the band worked hard on writing top quality material and getting the name of "The Lowreys" out there getting gigs in and around Leicester. 2008 saw the band really take off and begin to build up a fan base. The band now gig regularly and are always hoping to expand their audience bringing top quality original gigs back and injecting the teenage music scene back into life. With there first double A side single Caroline /Radio! selling out on release and caroline making it to the top 10 best songs of the year 2008 the band are writing top quality tunes and constantly moving forward! After a successful year climaxing with the winning of the silver bullet promotion battle of the bands.
The Band are now planning to carry on rising to the top playing gigs around leicester and branching out to other cities the band look as though 2009 will be another succesful year! Already signed up to festivals in the summer and some big gigs coming soon the Lowreys are going from strength to strength!

Sounds Like: INDIE WITH ATTITUDE!

"An indie band with a set of catchy, enjoyable songs, sung with clarity and commitment."
"Good memorable songs"
"clearly a band that likes to have fun and enjoyment."

The Lowreys set off at a brisk pace with their two vocalists and sax player and Dan on the drums doing somer forthright work with the sticks. The vocals had some corking melodic content, well enhanced by Daniella on the Sax, interlaced with some catchy riffs from Nick's bass. A set with springy rhythms, the songs were well crafted and the music tightly executed. A band with a great sense of beat, they oozzed talent and presented well on the stage. "Caroline" was well received by their enthusiastic fans, an offering with some natty lyrics and a jaunty melodic line. A good helping of vocals came from Dan Wright on the drums - singing drummers are always impressive.
A band with an A+ for musicality, they are serious contenders for the top.
