It was back in 1997 when Kostas Nikolakis (Vocals, Guitar) and Kostas Nazlidis (Bass) decided that they could form a band and try some musical ideas they had in mind. Nothing could predict that this band could last almost a decade now. Kostas and Kostas met each other in junior high and became close friends instantly At the beginning they played in an old basement Kostas Nazlidis owned, and since their musical interests were so alike (Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Sonic Youth, Mudhoney. Queens of the Stone Age), they didn’t face any difficulties in the whole process of creating music. But during 1998, having completed a number of songs and having named the band Feelin’Guilty, they couldn’t find a drummer to play along, so Chris Apergis who was a friend of theirs at that time volunteered to play the drums. Yes, finally a dream came true. They felt like having a true band indeed! With this form they played for almost 8 months, until C.Apegis left the band for personal reasons.
Guilty were back from where they started again. Some new songs were ready, but it was only after a few months later, in early 1999 when John Emmanouilidis, a very good friend of Kostas Nikolakis, joined the band that these songs took shape. John fitted perfectly in the band almost immediately and with this line up they carry on until today. The trio had their first live at Paranoid Club in October 1999.Paramythi Café and Woodstock Club followed in 1999 and 2000.As the time went by they felt they had to enrich their music and that task was accomplished when Jim Mouzakis (Lead Guitar) came over as a feeling guilty member. Even more concerts took place (An Club, West side story, Rodeo Club, and Elliniko Cafe) in 2001. During that period Guilty recorded their first demo in S&K Studio, a CD that contained 3 songs, and also a live act at the studio that bore another 5 tracks.
The group faced a crisis during 2002 when it was forced to stop playing due to military service (John) and immediately after, an Erasmus program (Kostas). Being inactive for more than a year, J. Mouzakis who in the meantime played with Bleeding Daylight / Via Serpentis, felt that the Guilty was on the verge of breaking up, so he decided he should pay more attention the previously mentioned band. When John Emmanouilidis and Kostas Nazlidis returned, they flung the band into work again. In 2003 some new songs were set and some lives were to be played. (8 dytika, Rodeo). At the same time Kostas Nikolakis joined Kostas Lolis to form a side-project that became later known as Trigger.
In the early 2004 Nikiforos Sampson filled the place of the leading guitarist that was missing. A new demo was recorded and mixed at Noise Factory Studio in January of 2005 and it consists of 3 songs. With this line up the band played at After Dark Club, Rodeo Club and Ston Aera. The last concert that Nikiforos played with the band was in May 2006, a concert that was held by the 4rth European Social Forum and took place at the old airport of Athens. At this time the trio have completed the composition of several songs and the band is about to record another live act at the studio.
