About Me

Hi There!
For starters, I play in a band called Spoken Four. Check it out at www.spokenfour.com and let me know what you think. Of course, you could simply just check out our MySpace page below. I know this will sound like I'm bragging but I'm pretty proud of the fact that in the past three years we have done well over 400 shows, and that we still manage to make each other laugh at nearly every gig! It's a constant mission of mine to make my singer "loose it" to the point where he screws up the lyrics. I recently had my Bass Player flat on the ground in uncontrollable laughter however it was during soundcheck so I'm not sure if that counts.
In May of 2009 WNUA 95.5 FM, Chicago's Smooth Jazz station flipped format and thus ended this particular chapter in my broadcasting career. I am proud to say that for 17 of WNUA's 22 years in existence, I had the opportunity to work with wonderfully talented and inspiring individuals.
I do a modest amount of Music Production from my home studio as well. I've had several friends / clients record with me and I'm fairly proud of the results.
Twelve years ago I began teaching Radio Production at Columbia College and I have to say that this is probably my favorite gig. If you've already taken my class then you know what I'm talkin' about here. If you made me laugh when you were my student then remind me to retroactively change your grade to an A+. If I made you laugh then be sure to Add Me as a Friend and let me know how you've been and what you're up to. I usually teach two classes every semester. A few semesters ago, for the first time I taught three. Yeah, I know...(and you know I'm just kidding about the A+ business, right?).
Miscellaneous stuff...I watch way too much TV: Survivor, Survivorman, Rob & Big, Lost, The Surreal Life, Heroes, Inside The Actor's Studio, American Idol, Flight of the Conchords, Project Runway, Top Chef, Top Design, Top Gear and Dr. Who on BBC, South Park, Trueblood, Star Trek: Voyager, Soundstage, Fringe, Austin City Limits and The Dog Whisperer on The National Geographic Channel. Seinfeld still puts me in a good mood. I've also been sucked into countless home improvement shows. My DVR has changed my life. Now if only Amy Matthews or Eric Stromer would show up with a camera crew and help me finish remodeling my bathroom.
My top five favorite guitarists, in no particular order, are Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Neal Schon and Alex Lifeson.
If you're also on Facebook then "Friend" me on there as well as it seems I'm there more often.
I make mistakes all the time.
Adam Carolla is my hero.
You stay classy...
