About Me

Half GERMAN (father) - half RUSSIAN (mother). Native speaker of both languages. Grown up between two worlds: The german, more technical and down to earth, but with rich culture, and the russian, with their beautiful language, their melancholy, their chaos and very rich culture too.

Shotokan Karate since 1990. Participated in various karate books. 2nd Dan.

There are books so alive that you're always afraid that while you weren't reading, the book has gone and changed, has shifted like a river; while you went on living, it went on living too, and like a river moved on and moved away. No one has stepped twice into the same river. But did anyone ever step twice into the same book?
[Marina Tsvetaeva]

My Interests

Whosoever wishes to know about the world must learn about it in its particular details.
Knowledge is not intelligence.
In searching for the truth be ready for the unexpected.
Change alone is unchanging.
The same road goes both up and down.
The beginning of a circle is also its end.
Not I, but the world says it: all is one.
And yet everything comes in season.
[Heraclitus of Ephesus]

Waves and People
Waves roll in columns on their usual route –
Splashing and humming, they run;
People, too, stride in a lousy crowd –
Every one trails everyone.
Waves favor cold of their slavery more
Than heat of midday sunny rays,
People take care of their souls… But lo! –
Their souls are colder than waves!
