I'm originally from NY City but went to school down here in NC and then moved to Raleigh afterwards. I am vice president of a small investment banking firm here ( www.carsonmedlin.com ), which is an intense job, but it keeps me on my toes. I am also the co-owner of Helios Cafe on Glenwood South ( www.helioscoffee.com ). I have a good group of friends in the area, but I always like the opportunity to mix it up and meet new people. I like to get my hands in as many pies as I can I guess. I'm also on the founding Board of Directors for a nonprofit foundation that we started a few years ago to help build and supply medical clinics in rural West Africa ( www.projectbokonon.org ).
I am a new owner of a 2004 Harley V-Rod, which I have decided is either the best or worst decision I've made in a long time... dangerously fast!
Best experience ever: I spent three years when I was younger touring Europe and Asia with an orchestra. Worst experience ever: Being in a jail in West Africa.
