..LWE music consists of a combination of styles that emanated out of the sound of the original rockers from the 50s; notably Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, and Gene Vincent to name a few.While drawing inspiration from the good-time early rockers, the music of Life without Elvis steers in various directions from this important historical time period. Various elements have been combined to form the LWE signature sound. Listen closely and influences from the Ventures , Reverend Horton Heat and the Stray Cats can be found. The sole intention is to involve the audience at all costs utilizing a retro-rock driven guitar, drum, and vocal ambiance.
Just when you thought you had LWE classified in a genre, then it happens: a punked-up Folsom Prison Blues by Cash or an electrified Kawlija by Hank Williams. Better think again. The show is not over. There is more to come.
