„Rico†was already at an early age in life enthusiastic about the hip hop culture. The first element he was confronted with was graffiti. Because of his brother’s collection of records, rap, funk, soul and electronic music became his musical company in life.
He firstly began to dance some „Hypedance†moves. Inspired by the movie „Beatstreet†and also by friends he started to do „B-Boyingâ€, which is also known as break-dance.
2 years later he became a member of „Fresh in Attackâ€. With this group he has a lot of success to show for oneself, for example the German Championship title in „B-Boyingâ€.
„Fresh in Attack†was founded by „Hawk†and „Patrock†in 1990 and is therefore one of the oldest German break-dance groups, which is also still active in dancing together. In the year of 2001 „Rico†made his hobby to his occupation. He teaches kids as well as teenagers in „B-Boying†and „New Style†(hip hop dancing). Besides teaching, „Rico†rocks a lot of different shows with his group. The last time „Fresh in Attack†took part in the championship was in 2005 where they got hold of the second place and the best show.
Because of being one of the youngest members in the group besides „Sanchoâ€, Rico decided to found a second group. In gratitude to the street shows he made every year, he got to know some drummers of the samba band „Viroumania†from Dresden. Through the combining of the group „Renaissance†from Dresden, dancer „T-Rox†of the group “Dance Collection†from Chemnitz and an old acquaintance, “Panicâ€, from „Fresh in Attack†the group „Beat Fanatics†was born in April of 2006. „Beat Fanatics†consist of five drummers and seven B-Boys. This group is world-wild the first „B-Boying percussion groupâ€.
„Beat Fanatics†took part in the „Battle of the east†in 2006 and reserved the second place. Their live music show was also remarkable at the „Battle of the yearâ€, the German championship. The group is also part of the new hip hop community and the label „New Definition†from Dresden, which was founded in 2006.
In the same year „Rico†wrote his own first rap song. Since that, rap music became another interest and therefore another big hobby besides surfing and dancing. The song called „Lifestylefreak†and can be downloaded on his site www.lifestylefreak.de. On this „My Space†Site you can ever find his new

„Rico†begeisterte sich schon sehr früh für die „Hip Hop Kulturâ€. Das erste Element mit dem er konfrontiert wurde war das „Writing†(Graffiti). Durch die Schallplattensammlung seines Bruders wurde die Rap, Funk, Soul und Electro Musik seine musikalische Begleitung im Leben.
Er begann mit ersten „Hypedance†Schritten und 1994 durch den Film „Beatstreetâ€, sowie durch Freunde mit „B-Boying†(Breakdance). Im Jahre 1996 wurde er ein Mitglied von „Fresh in Attackâ€. Mit dieser Gruppe kann er viele Erfolge, wie zum Beispiel den Deutschen Meistertitel im „B-Boying†vorweisen.
„Fresh in Attack†ist eine der ältesten Breakdance Gruppen in Deutschland die noch aktiv sind und wurde im Jahr 1990 von „Hawk†& „Patrock†gegründet. In dem Jahr 2001 machte „Rico†aus seinem Hobby sein Beruf. Er unterrichtet Kinder sowie Jugendliche im „B-Boying†und „New Style†(Hip Hop Tanz). Neben dem Unterricht rockt „Rico†viele verschiedene Shows mit seiner Gruppe. Im Jahr 2005 nahmen sie das letzte Mal als „Fresh in Attack†bei den Meisterschaften teil und die Jungs konnten sich noch mal den 2. Platz sowie den Preis für die beste Show ergattern.
Da „Rico†noch einer der jüngsten neben „Sancho†in der Gruppe ist, beschloss er noch eine zweite Gruppe zu gründen. Dank der vielen Straßenshows, die er jedes Jahr machte, lernte er ein paar Drummer der Sambaband „Viroumania†aus Dresden kennen. Durch den Zusammenschluss mit der Gruppe „Renaissance†aus Dresden, dem Tänzer „T-Rox†von der Gruppe „Dance Collection†aus Chemnitz und einem alten bekannten, „Panic†von „Fresh in Attackâ€, war im April 2006 die Gruppe „Beat Fanatics†geboren. „Beat Fanatics†besteht aus 5 Drummern und 7 B-Boys. Sie sind Weltweit die erste „B-Boying Perkussion Gruppeâ€.
„Beat Fanatics†nahmen 2006 am „Battle of the East†(Ostdeutsche Breakdance Meisterschaft) teil und belegten den 2. Platz. Auch beim „Battle of the Year†(Deutsche Meisterschaft) fielen sie mit ihrer Live Musik Show sehr gut auf. Die Gruppe ist ein Teil von der neuen Hip Hop Community und dem Label „New Definition†aus Dresden, welches 2006 gegründet wurde.
In diesem Jahr schrieb „Rico†seinen ersten eigenen Rap Song und seit dem ist die Rap Musik ein weiteres großes Hobby, neben dem Surfen und der Tanzerrei.
