About Me

I'm 28 yrs old and I live in a small village just outside Cambridge (UK). Ive been playing guitar for most of my life, as my dad played guitar there was always one round the house as i was growing up. Only started playing serioulsy when i hit my teens and found the joys of copious amounts of LSD and weed to be very inspirational! During those "hazy" years I played in a couple bands, most notably THEELEVENTEENYROLDS which was a classic three chord pop punk outfit heavily inspired by the likes of Screaching weasel, the queers and the ramones. We managed to record two albums over a span of 5 years SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK 96/97 and AN'ANAL'ANALOGY 99, both were low tech D.I.Y jobs on a fourtrack, but at least we got the tunes down. Now the band only now exists in our hearts as I moved back to England from Canada and three thousand miles is a long way to go for band practice! Who knows though one day there may be a reunion?? After I moved back to England I got involved in DJ'ing mainly drum and bass and hip hop which led onto my becoming obsessed with turntablism, it was like a form of meditation! I was asked to join the SLIDERS FROM MARS(leicester)to provide a scratching masterclass and we rocked some great parties! In the end though i realised my heart wasnt in dj'ing and i focused my tallents back on my original love...the guitar. So for the last 5 or 6 years ive been writing and recording mainly acoustic, folky tunes. im currently jamming and coming up with stuff with a friend of mine but were looking for a band, so if theres anyone out there in the cambridgeshire area who can play drums or bass that wants to hook up and see what we can do then get in touch!!
