About Me

Poverty stricken cat loving wannabe writer with a delirious imagination. It's a sad fact that most people in this life are dullards. To them I am 'scatty'. To me they are Sunday drivers stuck in first gear. But live and let live, eh? More info? OK. I'm soppy and sensitive, but nobody's fool, and I've never met what I would call a kindred spirit (sadly), and I detest the colour green, but the colour blue soothes me. Often I'm deliberately rude - the Polite Society threw me out. My profile says I'm 40, but I've chosen to be 25 for the rest of my life. I am a manic-exhaustive. My hobbies include laughing, listening intensely to music (most people let music wash over them - that's wrong!), collecting images, taking in stray cats, doing sudoku puzzles, graphology, daydreaming, keeping a dream diary (you all should try it, it makes you more imaginative) eating white chocolate, looking at art books, feeding tracks into my iPod (it's a hungry beast) starting poems but never finishing them, and collecting CDs and tins. I don't believe in reincarnation, but it's a nice idea. I'm intrigued by crop circles - the only explanation is that aliens are trying to communicate with us. The patterns are so perfect (except for the hoaxed ones) and the area around the circles hasn't been trampled down, so whoever/whatever is responsible must have been hovering above. The picture on my profile appeared in a field in South West England a few years ago. I don't believe anyone can hoax such a complicated pattern. It's Weirdsville.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Scientists and Absurdists, free-thinkers, raconteurs and people who blunder their way through life.

Did Green Day use OK Computer as a template for American Idiot?

Am I the only one to have noticed the similarities between some parts of American Idiot and OK Computer?  Three songs in particular stand out to me, they are: Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams ...

I've devised a board game.

I'm calling it Cats And DogsĀ©.  There'll be two teams, one cats and the other dogs, but that's as far as I've got.  By the time I've thought it all out it will be brilliant.  It might e...

Time for a shoegazers revival?

I'm loving the spiky guitar music that's around at the moment but inbetween times I'm rediscovering some of the shoegazers stuff from the early 90's - bands like House Of Love, Spacemen 3, Slowdive, C...

'Get Behind Me, Satan' LOL

I'm loving the new single by The White Stripes, Blue Orchid.  It's had me dancing about in a most unladylike way.  Raunchily, even!  For a man who once considered going into a monastery...

Vietnam - Centre Of Veterinary Excellence

I caught a bit of a Billy Connolly show the other day.  He was recounting how he once met an American woman who told him she used to think there was a cross-eyed bear in Heaven called Gladly, bec...

If Men Had Periods...

I was wondering the other day how it would be if men had periods instead of women. You know how shop doorways aren't big enough for baby buggies because the architects were all men who had never push...
