HotFreeLayouts DEMO Gianni Ugolini was born in Florence in 1955, under the Gemini zodiac sign. After completing his studies at the artistic secondary school, he went on to study in the architecture faculty at university, and began his career as a current events photographer, completing three years of apprenticeship, first with the editorial staff at Mondadori, and later at Rusconi. As an assistant in the Katty La Rocca studio in Turin, Gianni gained his first artistic experience in the Italian hyper-realist movement, combining photography with graphic arts. Upon his graduation from university, Gianni began working as an architectural photographer for the periodicals Domus and Abitare. During the three years between 1978 and 1981, Gianni worked as a reporting correspondent for photo journalism and tourist articles in the Far East. His publications include works on Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, China and Burma. In 1986, after the birth of his second child, Gianni began to lead a less vagrant life. He launched his career as a fashion photographer, opening his first photography studio in Florence and working with clients such as Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli, Arena, Champion, and Fendi. His photographs have always been characterised by a very real and high impact style, clearly influenced by his previous experience in photo journalistic reporting. In 1990, Gianni began his Milanese experience with "itinerante", a travelling exhibition on fashion, showing his work in art galleries in Milan and Florence and achieving a symbiosis between art and photography. His photographs were seen in specialised industry magazines such as Italian Fashion Designer, Amica, Grazia, Vogue, and Donna Moderna. Gianni also worked with agencies such as Cato Johnson, Leader, Personaggi e Interpreti.Since 1992, his photography has become more sectional, specialising in beauty photography along with cosmetic and hair products companies. He has contributed to the advertising campaigns for Wella, L'Oréal, and Swarzkopf, Toccomagico, both in Italy and Europe. You can see his photographs on the covers of Estetica, Studio Fashion, You, and Beauty Line. Gianni contributed to the American advertising campaign for Gap in New York. He currently divides his time between Florence and Milan, working in the photography and fashion fields. Gianni's style, his creativity, and innovation have made him one of today's most admired fashion photographers.
