SHOTZ
Shotz (born Chimezie Emenike) is a 15 year old (Year 10) artist/ producer/designer from Blue Borough, Bellingham, South-East London. He is originally from Nigeria (Imo State). At an early age Shotz used to play the cello but soon lost interest in this instrument and realised that he wanted to make his own music and change the scene.EARLY MUSIC INTEREST
At the age of 8 he used to watch MTV and from there he was keen to make his first track (which was solo because no-one in his age group was as interested in music as he was). To make a track he needed software so he went to PC World and bought Hip Hop Ejay. This software was not professional, but it was a start and from here it encouraged him to improve his poetic skills and think deeper than most people in his year group. By the age of 10 Shotz was fully capable of making a track because he had bought all the equipment he needed (including Magix Music Maker), all he needed from there was outstanding bars. Shotz had also encouraged many people to spit in his primary school and went on to secondary school to make tracks with people such as Tiny Raw1, Y. Proof, Y. Snizzle, Hazer, Krepzy etc. This was the start of the beginning for ShotzMUSICAL BEGINNING
At the age of 13, Shotz was grabbing the attention of many locals and known people in Blue Borough and was ready to challenge any Mc that was preventing him from rising or getting a name for him self in the scene. He was still making small-time tracks with his friends in his home studio, but he then joined New Found Content and started doing shows with them. This made Shotz really want to take music seriously. At 14, Shotz was getting his music played on Rinse Fm and many other radio stations. He had also released a promo which was decent and not all that when looking back on it, but it was a start. Shotz was letting his music become part of him rather than just a part-time hobby.2008
Nowadays Shotz is making as many tracks as possible in his home studio and occasionally lets his close friends make music there, but only if they have something to offer him such as money, promotion or anything that he agrees is valuable to him. This also applies to giving out beats and making layouts for people (I made this layout)TALENT & INFLUENCES
