Create or get your very own MySpace LayoutsHey all. My names Sarah. i am a lover and promoter of music. its my job to promte Festivals, Concerts and things of that nature. i was contacted, not long ago by Tomi Grey of the experiment. "i know how it works", were the first words out of his mouth. "im supposed to tell you we're the greatest thing since sliced bread, your supposed to pretend your listening, you'll ask me to send you an email with some information on the band... you'll delete it like you do the 10 000 others you get just like it each day. it seems the only way for me to set my band apart from the next would be to either know you personally, or have you see first hand what we are about..." there was a knock at the door and a guy walked in wearing a yellow dress. "im Jed" he said confidently. "I play in the experiment. we have a gig tonight and id love for you to come down." he dropped 2 tickets on my desk, smiled and waked out. through the phone that was still held to my ear Tomi Grey said, "i know how it all works" and hung up. a few hours later i was at the venue, mainly for curiosities sake. i had a seat towards the back of the room when the band took the stage. i see alot of bands in my line of work. alot of bands that are just the same as the lot before them and the lot to follow. the experiment however was something i had never before seen or heard. just the two of them on a big stage that they filled out astoundingly. after there set they came up to me. "thanks for coming" they both said. at this time i was feeling a little overwhelmed. i told them i thought they were amazing, thanked them for the invite (which is rare, the industry person thanking the band...) and asked them what i could do to help? (also rare) "Tell people about us" they said simply. so here i am. that night i went home and brainstormed, working all night and coming up with a full plan of action by the name of "the Experiment Awareness centre" the aim of which being to spread word of the Experiment to the world, one myspace at a time. if you like the band, make your own chapter and get it out to as many people as you can. i choose to do this out of my own love for the band and the music they make and what i know they're capable of. im not getting paid to do any of this. check them out live and you'll see why.
