A little bit on every matter.A little bit on direction, a little bit on animation, on music or photography.I was born in Athens - Greece in 1966. (On the 20th of April, to be more precise...)In 1984, I took some classic animation courses with awarded animator Stratos Stasinos while preparing for the School of Fine Arts. Also worked in KOUNOUPI, an animation film production company run by two also well-known animators, Nassos Mirmiridis and John Koutsouris.
In 1985, I was admitted to the School of Fine Arts in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, graduating in 1990 / class of Vangelis Dimitreas.While studying fine arts, my first flirt with photography, advertising and graphic design started by working in small Creative Bureaus in Thessaloniki, helping me gather a few awards and prizes during this period.In 1992, I get hired as an illustrator from S&G Advertising, soon to be a junior Art Director with clients such as Ciba-Geigy, CINEMA magazine, BP, Nutricia etc.A year later, being it 1993, I move to Oxygen/Olympic DDB Needham Advertising as an Art Director with major clients Mazda, Lumberjack, Levis, Bank of Cyprus etc.In 1994, Oxygen merges with Producta under TBWA's network. Major clients Absolut Vodka, Audi and VW, Lumberjack, Katselis bakery, MINION Stores, Mobil, Etienne Aigner etc.In 1996, I move to Staff Advertising as Senior Art Director. After an internal repositioning, I take over the Post Production Dept., working mainly on in-house TV Productions with major Clients DeAgostini, Daewoo and a lot of magazines and newspapers. (Motto of the Department: Where seconds last longer)...In 1999, I move to X-Rated, a Film Production Company, as an animator and compositor and later as Post Production Creative Director. Major clients Mc Donalds, Bingo, Filmnet and Nova, Estee Lauder, Kanaki, Telestet, Votre Beaute, Maison Decoration etc.During my stay in X-Rated, I also compose music for commercials with a good friend and former group co-member Billy Mouskouris.From 2001 to 2004, I work with my own clients from my home office or on location, having more time for the forgotten, more artistic things.Major clients MAD Music Channel (served as Art Director for a year), Logo stick glue, Goodys, Carrefour, Yamaha, SVIE schools etc.In 2002, I take a seminar in Direction in New York Film Academy, London. Anna and Graham, one of the films produced in the course received best film, best direction and best edit awards in Athens Short Films Festival, 2003, in Premiere Nights (Cinema Magazine and IEK Akmi) while another one, Knocking 9 doors, received the 3rd prize in Flying Five Film Festival, 2004 in New Zealand.
In May 2005, Single Bed, my new short movie (featuring Erifili Stefanidou and Fanis Diplas) is finished and from September starts screening in major film festivals all over the world, gaining prizes and awards.UNDO formed on May 13, 2005, as an idea of getting together with friends that really like exceptional results in postproduction and share creative ideas. George Glynos is the other half of the company, 3D artist, animator and compositor and Chris Gakis, editor.
