Henrietta Torkelton began writing music in February 2007 as a response to a friend's suggestion she try being a part of February Album Writing Month (FAWM). She completed 11 songs (the challenge was to complete 14) in 28 days, which she thinks is pretty darn hot.
As part of FAWM, Henrietta was exposed to a new genre of music known as "Strangle Disco."
See Strangle Disco for more details.
Basically, it's dance music that samples Beethoven and uses anagrams in the lyrics. Henrietta thinks this is the best invention since corrugated cardboard and hopes to write more strangle disco tunes.
But she's worried about writing more songs before February 2008. She doesn't want to use up all her skill before next year's FAWM contest.
