-- BIOGRAPHY --
Having been under the name ALODEX for a little over a year and a half, four musicians come together and create a perfect blend of catchy guitar riffs, soaring vocals, groovy bass lines backed by an awesome drummer. Self-proclaimed as an Alternative/Metal band, having been compared to Queenryche, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Bullet For My Valentine, ALODEX are trying to create their own legacy by going against the grain of what others are telling them to do. Writing lyrics about real life and personal situations, it’s almost too poetic. Songs written about drug addiction, love, hatred, confusion, and even songs written respecting soldiers coming back from duty. ALODEX even write songs thanking fans for all the things they’ve done to encourage them and letting them live their dreams. ‘Without fans, we’re nothing.’ - Aaron (bassist)
Having played literally to only one person to actually playing at Ft. Bliss in front of thousands of soldiers and their families, ALODEX pour their hearts out in every single song at every single show they do. ‘We feel that if WE don’t feel the music that we’re playing ourselves, how do we expect our FANS to feel it? I get mad sometimes when I go see a world famous band and they just stand there and play their music perfectly. I want to see them connect with me, an audience member, and give me a real show and make mistakes in their music. If I wanted to hear their music perfectly with no show whatsoever, I would’ve just stayed home and listened to there CD.’ - Mike (lead guitarist)
Not limiting themselves to only playing heavy music, ALODEX has performed acoustically and even have acoustic-only songs. ‘We don’t like limiting ourselves musically just because we need to have our electric guitars plugged into our half-stacks to please people. We do what we want to do and what we have to do to express ourselves to our fullest.’ - Danny (singer/guitarist)
Sharing the stage with such acts as Theory of a Deadman and Aranda. And having a good relationship with the local rock radio station KLAQ 95.5 and having 3 of their songs (End This, At The Movies and The Suffering) played regularly on-air during Q-Connected, the new music and local radio show, ALODEX have dominated the local rock scene and continue to attract more and more fans of all ages. Yet not signed to a Record Label, ALODEX is planning to go into the studio and release a self-financed, much anticipated, debut album in mid 2009 named ‘Embrace The Heartache’.
