About Me

Born and raised by a mother who always sang and a father that owned a music school in the Virgin Islands, Sheba was born into driving rythms and melodic sounds. Even though the culture is rich in calypso and reggae music, her father introduced sounds of jazz, soul, classical, and even rock to her from even before birth. At the age of 3 she began singing in church, and various talent shows. At 4 she was introduced to the piano, from there she experimented with the flute and clarinet before settling to play the String Bass (Upright Bass) at the age of 11. After only three months of playing the string bass she competed in All County and All State of Florida and recieved firt chair and superior ratings. She plays the bass in classical orchestras and in studio sessions to this day. ************************************************************ **** Another talent arose just recently in her life. Her gift of writing. Although she was always found in a corner writing something, no one knew what she was capable of, until she performed her first poem on stage at Poets Corner in South Florida at the age of 18. ************************************************************ **** Always in love with a camera, she models as well, and also plays with the camera and photography enabling her to capture life's moments and hold it still through time. ************************************************************ **** On a personal note, Sheba is 25 years old and currently a full time student seeking a degree in Communications and Advertising. She works with children, and also volunteers at the Children's Cultural Center teaching poetry, drama, and song writing. She is also the founder of a program called Lady Gems where she helps young girls find and keep their value and helps them to become successful young ladies within their community. She is also the proud mother of three little men and happily married to a wonderful young man.
