About Me

After wandering the wild west of New Mexico and drifting through jobs and grad school for a bit, I'm now settled into the home of the Illini. While I don't necessarily bleed the orange and blue of this town, I do enjoy a good basketball or football game when in the company of my fanatic friends :-)At this point, my focus is on building my career as I plan events and festivities which bring out thousands of people for play and enjoyment. What better job then to create fun for others :-) When I'm not working, I'm building a wonderful life and home with my husband Kevin and our 'son' Loki (our crazy cat!). Whether we're hosting a wine tasting party, going camping with friends, or spending a night on the town, we make sure to have plenty of 'play time' as well!

My Interests

Reading, dancing, hiking, fitness, traveling, wine.

I'd like to meet:

Fun, open minded people who can hold intelligent conversations but also know how to let loose and enjoy life!

Music:

Everything! Some favs, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant album, Seether, Hurt, Incubus, 311, Vast, Nelly Furtado, Chevelle, Damien Rice, will see a Godsmack or Korn concert any day, Santana, the list can go on and on.

Movies:

Again, I like all genres, some recent favs, Eastern Promises, The Great Debaters, Behind the Painted Veil. My all time favorites, Lord of Rings triolgy, Shakespeare in Love, American History X, Usual Suspects.

Television:

Not much of a TV watcher but have become totally addicted to the new Battlestar Galactica (April 4 can't come soon enough!). I also love Hereos, Smallville, and Supernatural. Yes, I am a self-proclaimed sci-fi/fantasy geek!

Books:

I am a huge bookworm! Favorite authors include George R.R. Martin, Robert Jordan, Margaret Atwood, Raymond E. Feist, Jacqueline Carey. Favorite books include Mists of Avalon, Handmaid's Tail, and Harry Potter series.

Heroes:

My brother Aaron, for serving his country; my parents for all that they have given and sacraficed in order to give me a good life; Queen Elizabeth I for being one kick-ass female during a time that didn't allow for such things.
