Computing (both PC and Mac - no format wars here please!), Music, Sci-fi, Cricket, American Football, Baseball, Poker, Rail Travel, Rugby (Union and League) and curling up with a good book.
Anyone with the same general interests as myself really - so if you thought the seventies and eighties were bad for fashion but good for music, you know your Space Corps Directives and where your towel is at all times or think rail is a civilised way to travel, then drop by and say hi!
One thing that can be said about my musical tastes is that they're varied - my collection includes everything from sixties classic bands such as The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones through to contemporary artists/groups such as Kaiser Chiefs, Norah Jones and the Scissor Sisters. But first and foremost I'm an 80's rock/pop man - Gary Numan, Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, New Order, Kate Bush, O.M.D, Genesis, Roxette, Madness, Ultravox, The Alarm, John Foxx and Simple Minds all feature rather prominently in my library. Other favourite genres include New Age (Enya, Clannad and Mike Oldfield), Classic Rock (Yes, Queen, Sweet, E.L.O, Status Quo, Rolling Stones, Roxy Music, Steve Harley and T-Rex) and Ambient/Chill Out (Delerium, Vangelis, Enigma and Lemon Jelly).
Apollo 13, the original Star Wars trilogy, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, When Harry Met Sally, most of the Bond movies, Monty Python's Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life, 2001 - A Space Odyssey and it's sequel 2010 - The Year We Made Contact.
VH1 Classic, Star Trek (all incarnations), Red Dwarf, Dr Who, The Fast Show, Stargate SG-1, Blackadder, Allo' Allo', Top of the Pops 2, any of Michael Palin's travelogues, The Two Ronnies and Air Crash Investigation/Seconds From Disaster. I don't watch many contemporary shows to be honest (reality TV leaves me cold for a start!) - I like Sky for the sport, the music channels, most of the programmes mentioned above and the documentaries on National Geographic and the Discovery Channel(s).
The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy series (Douglas Adams), The Hunt For Red October (Tom Clancy), any of the Sherlock Holmes stories (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle), The Thinking Man's Guide to Pro Football (Paul Zimmerman) and a selection of Trek fiction - anything by Keith R.A DeCandido, David R George III, David Mack or S.D Perry will keep me absorbed for hours at a time.....
Arthur C Clarke, Douglas Adams, Sir Patrick Moore, Harold Dennis (Dickie) Bird, Ian Botham, Patrick Stewart.
