Ole Drums (soon new Sufferage & Gorezone stuff

I was born in 1978 and drumming is my passion since I was eleven years old. When I was listening to some music, I played the drums to it with my hands or anything else, that was good to use as sticks. As I was twelve, I played the first time a real drumset, and it worked well. From now on at the latest I was completely infected! One year later, my parents presented my a very little, old drum set (something like 18" Base, Snare, HH, one Tom and a Ride Cymbal). I was really proud and practised as often as possible (till the neighbours rang) and soon I played in my first band. We played some Punk/Rock music and as I remember, we had only one gig. After that, I played in a lot of bands and the music became more and more hard and aggressive. For a long time, my focus in practising was on my hands. I was interested in playing interesting stuff on Snare, Toms and Cymbals. Later, as I had to, because the bands I played with needed harder and faster drums, I started to focus my feet and trained my base drums. Today I like creative ideas while playing fast and brutal music. In my opinion, there is no border between running hard and fast and nevertheless playing innovative and creative. For the future, my focus is on training this way of drumming. Since 2000, I play with SUFFERAGE, Death Metal from Hamburg and since 2006 also with GOREZONE, Brutal Death from Oldenburg.
