About Me

Hey! My name is Rachel. I am 21 years young. I think that life is long and I am in no rush. I don't get the chance to party as much as most my age, but thats not really by choice. I am a busy girl with 2 jobs and school full time. I love children and I love psychology which is why my major is child development. I am pursuing a masters in child and family therapy. I am a realist and a feminist, but still somehow a romantic. I am VERY opinionated, but open minded. I am assertive, which means that I sometimes come off as a bitch...ah the double standard! I have zero tolerance for stupidity. I am fun, I am a tease and I am really enjoying being young and single. I am the most fickle person in the world, which is why I usually can't be around the same person too long! I am a great listener, but I have a horrible memory, so I sometimes have to be reminded of names and stories.

My Interests

I like to act, i enjoy movies, music, plays, and musicals. I can relate a song to every part of my life so don't be shocked if someday i dedicate one to ya! :) whenever i get the chance....which is hardly ever lately...I like to get out to the desert for a little quadding, I don't claim to be good at it, but it is fun.

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent people. People who have their own opinions. I don't mind if we disagree as long as you can back yourself up and have a friendly debate. There is nothing better than two people having a calm, intelligent discussion about something they disagree about.I am not interested in meeting any guy browsing myspace looking for his next lay...thanks anyway, I'll pass.

Music:

I like what I like. I am not a music snob. My ipod has everything from country to hip hop. Some favs include Dashboard, Secondhand Serenade, The Killers, the Used, Taking Back Sunday, yellow card, my chemical romance, boys like girls, all american rejects,Fall out boy, Green Day, Rihanna, Plain White Tees, Cute is What we Aim for, Daughtry,Paramore, Kelly Clarkson, madonna, Mrs. Stefani, Dixie Chicks, Wilson Philips, Journey, stix

Movies:

Crash.....my favorite. Live free or die hard, Shut up and Sing, Knocked up, The Little Mermaid, Brokedown Palace, the Notebook, Sin City, Transformers, Cars, Finding Nemo, 40yr Old Virgin, Pursuit of Happyness, The Breakup, The Holiday, Rent, Team America World Police, Sybil, Young Guns, The Hostage....Clerks 2 (only because of the strange little guy that loved lord of the rings), and a bunch more that I can't think of at the moment..

Television:

Sex and the City, Law and Order SVU and House of course if I'm in the mood for a laugh there is always Family Guy, Futurama and Aqua Teen. I fall asleep to Court TV every night. Forensic Files is my lullaby :)Ok I also admit that I watch The Hills. Guilty pleasure.

Books:

I love to read, but hardly ever have time to read anything but text books. Any true crime book, sexy (not cheesey and not pornographic) romance novels, mysteries

Heroes:

Pople who stand up for what they believe in. Don't say you believe something and then keep your mouth shut when it counts! A true test of a person's character is how they perform under pressure! Do you choke or do you shine?
