Biography Of
"MZ. WHIPP"
RapperWell allow me to introduce a young lady that's simply like no other. Misha or better yet Mz. Whipp is an up and coming rap artist from Detroit, Michigan. Just like her stage name, Mizz Whipp has literally whipped her talent around the city of Detroit. Embracing the essence of her environment is allowing her to demand attention each and every time she explodes on the microphone. The Keynote lounge, Village Idiot, Tippin In, Jimmy's Lounge and Portabella's Poetry Show are just a few of the places that has felt the impact from this lyrical goddess. Mz. Whipp has a belly aching hunger to succeed that will eventually provide the avenues for freedom. Freedom that offers escape from economic slavery and the many pitfalls that is designed to captivate and entrap the urban mind.Misha Nicole Hamilton was born on the west side of Detroit, MI to a Yolanda Hamilton and Rendell Ace Stephens. Her parents were responsible for bringing four beautiful children in the world. Mz. Whipp is the second from the last of her three siblings, two that are deceased. Sha'londa B. Hamilton her older sister died in a fatal car accident in 1992 and in 1999 her oldest brother Rendell Ace Stephens was tragically killed. Mz Whipp younger brother Shaun Contillio Hamilton is currently incarcerated. As a young child Mz. Whipp would endure a roller coaster ride that navigated her from east to west periodically. She was only six years old when her parents went there separate ways. Her mother was left to handle the struggles of life as a solo parent and made the necessary decision to provide shelter and nourishment for her children. Living with relatives at times did not dilute a growing energy that was building up in a young girls heart. Despite the hardship, Mz. Whipp would always find the time to entertain others by dancing. Entertaining (dancing) was indeed something that she really enjoyed however she soon learned that life was based on prioritizing choices. At the tender age of twelve Mz.Whipp was growing up quick, taking on many of the responsibilities that adults find to be very challenging. A young girls search for love and support ultimately misdirected her to the streets. " I thank my lucky stars that I never Found It" that's what Mz. Whipp will tell you in regards to the deception that comes along with street life. Eager To learn more about life she would eventually turn to reading books and listening to older people for guidance. Mz. Whipp had a genuine connection with older people, who allowed her to soak up much needed knowledge. It wasn't always positive advice that traveled through her ear cannels but somehow she was able to extract the necessary and use it as a tool for self-motivation. Mz. Whipp used that same motivation to successfully complete the GED program in 2002 and she also attended Wayne County Community College in 2005(major Bus Management). Mz. Whipp feels that her past experiences in life gives her the added strength and determination that's needed for success. With that in mind she regained her focus on dancing and rap. Dancing was her first love and than came rapping or that is until she met a co-worker that paved the avenue for the birth of hip-hops new hot female Mz. Whipp. The year was two thousand and four when Mz. Whipp just so happens to be at the right place at the right time (thanks to the most high). She was at work and over heard a co-worker that everybody called JHOOK talking about beats and recording tracks. Now that's all it would take for a strong-minded black woman, when it comes down to her heart desires. So packed with determination she asked JHOOK to make her a beat ("I was begging the hell out of him for a beat") and he eventually noticed the seriousness in her eyes and gave her what she wanted. "I guess he didn't believe that I could flow." So that very same day Mz. Whipp armed with an arsenal of beats wrote three full songs and was able to spit them for JHOOK (how about that). "Practice what you preach and preach just what you practice and make believers out of those who don't know." JHOOK was amazed and immediately became hooked on the Mz. Whipp appeal. Today Mz. Whipp and JHOOK, the CEO and founder of L.N.O Entertainment have created a musical chemistry that is unmatched. It is now 2007 and Mz. Whipp has successfully completed her first debut album. The album is called " I Wanna Be Free" and is scheduled for release in April of 2007. Well being that it's 2007 and hip-hop is in a desperate need for a dominant female rapper, there's not much more to be said just wait, anticipate and appreciate Mz. Whipp!
