Jay Arson hails from Alabama's largest city, Birmingham. It was listed as one of the top ten most dangerous cities five years in a row. Jay's lyrics often reflect the gunplay and heavy police pressence he saw growing up on the city's westside. He's been writing lyrics and producing beats since he was around fifteen. He met up with TRILL WILL through a mutual friend in the summer of 2002. They lost contact but eventually hooked back up. Trill introduced Jay to ALABAMA SLIM and the FREE AGENTZ quickly moved from a duo to a trio. JAY ARSON produced the track "Money in the Air" that quickly became a crowd favorite. They say death comes in threes. And these young men lyrically slaughter any and all competition. Jay is a chronic weed smoker who's lyrical prowess is as sharp as a barber's switchblade. His punchlines often come with bruising disreguard for unsuspecting victims... "Yo album just won't sell, like Snoop's clothing line..." With potent rhyme delivery and an underatted knack for beat making he's the youngest in charge and set to take the game by storm.
