"Babynot"I've often thought how a lot of great dance tracks sometimes hid the vocals and melodies too much behind the beat of the track.So when you would listen to them in a club people were dancing to the beat and not listening to the beautiful song within it..I always thought this was a pity because these songs were so amazing and people were not hearing or appreciating the beautiful melodies and understanding the meanings behind the lyrics...So I wanted to record an album with my favourite tracks from when I was a child to the present day,but completely strip them down and expose the beauty within them...That is why I have decided to record it as an acoustic album..I received a lot of raised eyebrows from people when I told them about my plan,especially people who see me dj,as it's a world apart from what I do as Miss Motif..but as soon as I explain my reasons why, they are so enthusiastic,which is great!!Afterall It was this music that influenced me and moulded me to be the artist I am today...so It's sort of a gesture of thanks and respect to these people...It Is another musical adventure I'm having with my Italian Gems,Daniele Davoli,Andrea Mazzali,Mirko Limoni And Guiliano Orlandi.I guess the name " Babynot" comes from the fact that I have grown up with this music,and not a "baby" so to speak anymore and how I perceive these tracks now as an adult...I think that's the best way I can describe it!
