ZYON I brings a new dimension to reggae music as a young deejay with lyrics and a style that rise above the other newcomers. This young artist had the best of Jamaica, New York, and Miami growing up as a youth in all three of these areas. That upbringing gave him a wide and educated perspective on the world. He remembered his earliest recording in New York working with Nadine Sutherland's brother at age 14. He kept honing his lyrics and presentation with the influences of Bob Marley, Jah Mason, Sizzla Kalonji along the way. Zyon I 's first professional stage show appearance was at a concert in Tampa, Florida working alongside such top reggae artists as Spragga Benz, Major Mackarel, and the "Fire Man" Capleton. His recent work in the studio has manifested sweet firstfruit with a song that is catching on quickly at radio. "Vampire" on the Yahbreeze produced, Reggae Highlites 2006 for Eight76 Records has whet the public appetite and they already want more. Zyon I mentions that his time with the label has "helped me see a light and pathway to a new level in reggae music." He is working on getting enough songs recorded to release a debut CD in the new year. He also mentioned that for this year's Family Reggae Festival he looks forward to "the education and liberation of the massive along with joy and togetherness" that is event will bring.
