"On my Ashes" was founded in 2005 by Ali and Gino in munich, germany.
Quickly both found out, that they share the same goal:
a great metalband you would die for!
Ali formerly played with quite a lot of bands
mainly in the hardcore and classical scene. With about 300
gigs in different countries, he is the band's most experienced
live musician, as well as being a true master of writing catchy
up-speed hooklines.
Frontman Gino started with shouting in his early years, at that time
he switched between many Death- and Thrashmetal bands to
master his art. He has always focused on letting his voice
"fit to the song like a chameleon" (Vampster, German E-Zine) by
changing intonation and style.
Gino & Ali both shared the same taste of music and
became good friends while writing the first songs without
additional musicians. During the song-writing process,
it became clear: The hooklines can absolutely compete with
well known artists! So the search
for a tight and fast drummer began to shape the hooklines into
powerful and aggressive songs.
From 2008 to 2009 the band undergoes some major changes. While our first
drummer and bass player left the band, with Marco (Bass) and Mathias (Drums)
we now have even more skilled and motivated people on our side. We also welcome
our recent member Sebastian on the second guitar with his strong deathmetal/grindcore
roots. Since 2005 the songwriting also changed, we dropped most of our hardcore
parts and started to focus on deathmetal. New stuff will hopefully be available
in the last quarter of 2009, where we plan to start recording our secon album.
