I wrote my first song at the age of nine - in English as I thought nobody would understand it. And, of course they didn't, since I picked my rhymes from Thesaurus.
It still is one of my favorite books, but I have now understood to seek the meaning of the words for suitability and context before using them.
It was all so secret, from the deepest crevices of my child's chest, - I would draw the stories out by torch light beneath my tatty blanket.
I'm bigger now - and I've got two blankets - whole and clean! Hurrah for progress!

I gigged with bands in the late 80's and early 90's (rock, folk, hard rock, jazz, indie and blues), before so cruelly being deported to the very (cold) country that I'd escaped previously in 1987, to avoid what seemed like an inevitable suicide to happen.
After a few forgetful years; I picked my vocals up again, brought them to the surface and threw them at the sad image in my mirror.
I had to laugh. Laughter is a driving life force and, thankfully, it has always been with me.
In the beginning of 2007, I was 'tricked' by friends (as caring as they were curious) to do my first open mic appearance at 'Marmite' then at Barcosa on Holloway Road - now at Nambucca on Holloway Road). This was my virgin debut at doing MY songs by MY self on My own.
Now I'm collaborating with 'Silver' and 'Baxter Stone' . But I still want to put a band together.
Have a listen to the somewhat rough stuff at 'Voodoo CiTi' and 'Electoral'
Send me a message or e-mail me on [email protected] if you like what you hear!
And don't forget to read 'Dark side of Dinner'- poetically licensed as it is, of course.
Remember: 'You are as good as you are real.'
Alongside this: CT is working on her first short collection: 'Growing out of Limitation'. AND currently busy with four recording projects as well as continuing her internal journey. After all, that is where the glow comes from...
Then there is 'Pet and Babe' - a show of small sketches 'woman/male psyche', that has been lying latent for some time but will soon be seen in strange places again. I'm Babe - he's Pet.. He is also Steve James with endless material to bring together!
Well, one cannot be all acoustic; so, to stimulate some of my other little nerves, I jumped on the chance of working on electronic backgrounds with the mighty Mark Black.
ElectOral was created, and there is more to come within this genre.
More music (other styles too)is expected on CT in Voodoo CiTi and ElectOral soon.
In between all this she says: 'I study my navel-fluff for perspective and provide a bit of therapy for those who like to kneel corrected.

Indeed, one has to amuse oneself!'
