Secret IDentity

About Me

Secret IDentity is the recording project of Ian Harvey and Debbie Bennett, recorded at our home in Staffordshire. The first album, Secret IDentity is complete after just over a year's work.
The 10-track 45-minute album has been put together using Garageband on our Apple Mini Mac. It's been a slow, painstaking process, but great fun . . . and we hope to share four of our tracks with you soon.
There are a whole variety of styles on offer, mostly with Debs' vocals to the fore -
One bone-crunching AC/DC-meets-The Cult rocker
A Rush-style rocker
Two pop-rockers with a ever so slight country flavour
Two ballads
Two prog-ish instrumentals which although recorded late in 2006 include a couple of ancient snippets from 1981.
A folk-ish number with a hint of Led Zep, retelling the novel 'Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer', by Patrick Suskind
And finally . . . a 10-minute acoustic prog ghost story (sort of!).
On the back of the Secret IDentity CD we've formed a new band, Tomorrow The World, with Craig from Tara's Secret and bassist (and cheesemaker) Dave Deaville. Two gigs under our belts so far, (Dudley & Bradford) supporting Eden). The sound's melodic AOR. More gigs/demos etc on the way . . . hopefully!

The story so far . . .

Where does the story start? Is it when Ian got his first Les Paul copy, aged 15? Or when he got his Fender Stratocaster, aged 17? Or earlier than that . .  Slade and Sweet on Top Of The Pops? The...
