I'm a very ordinary Finnish woman. I take care of two teenaged daughters, so my days are pretty much scheduled by their timetables. I drive them to school, to their activities, and back home. In the meantime I study and work as a part time college teacher. I don't like to get stuck in one place but that doesn't mean that I haven't. A few years back I gave up a career (well, a job really) with a big company, and decided to change my professional life completely from paper engineering to digital media. I haven't regretted the decision for one day. I still teach chemistry and paper technology, and I love that work, but it is kind of contradictory to be focused on many totally different issues.
I love travelling, and getting to know new places and cultures. If I had more time, I'd love to learn languages. My ambition is to learn French well enough so that I could speak and write it fluently, and read the Foucaults and Saussures as original prints.
