Shatta Don

Blowing out of the tropical and sunny island of Antigua, from the village of Potters, born a talented producer/songwriter/performer who is eager to conquer the music industry.At a young stage growing up, no matter where he went, Dorshan “Shatta Don” Simon have always been drawn to music. This youth man got inspired by his father who plays the guitar and other local artist/bands such as Buda and the Tonik band, Burning Flames, Ninja Yags now known as Lee P. Ching, e.t.c… From a very playful age, Shatta Don learns to play the piano and write his own lyrics. When he was fifteen years old, he started making instrumental music of different genre like Hip-Hop/R&B, Soca, Techno and Reggae/Dancehall where most of his attention is paid to. In 2005, he started his movement name Blue Moon Records.Referred to as an underground artist, Shatta Don first performed at Ibis’s Birthday Bash at a local show called Sha Sha Marni. ‘This is how we do it’ his first recording, was done by him at once home studio and has been a local blast. He is currently educated at the Clare Hall Secondary School and is now at the fifth form level. Despite the anxiety of wanting to finish with all passing subjects, Shatta is in the process of working on his first production with artist including Charlie X, Lee P. Ching and more. People say his work is “abnormal” and he is a maniac when it comes to creating a new line of dancehall flavor. “My aim is to give people what they want to listen;” said Shatta “music is my life!”
