I was founded in 1972 by the late great Mike Duncan and quickly became the best and probably only place to get good music here in Sioux City, Iowa. I supplied Sioux City with great music and a great place to hang around and talk music(not to mention a place to pick up those oh so handy "tobacco" accesories).
In the late nineties I was sold to Marcia Waitt and I moved from west 3rd to historic 4th street. While there I became a great place to see live music(hell, David Crosby even showed up one day and jammed with us), get a good meal, have a caffe mocha, and pick up a cd. Everything was going great until my former arch nemesis(the internet) decided to kick every record store in the worlds' ass. So I had to move to a smaller location on 5th and Court. In 2004 the joint(i mean torch) was passed to Ben Hunnel who runs me today. He decided to take the store back to it's roots and turned me back to just being a record store(which I appreciate immensley) We carry NEW and used Vinyl and Cds, Music dvds, t-shirts, posters, incense, and hopefully oneday soon some of them ole wacky tabacky pipes.P.S. obviously the internet has been upgraded from arch nemesis to at least uneasy allies.
