I am here for Friends

About Me

Always believe in yourself. Do this, and no matter where you are, you will have nothing to fear.

I wish I were the book you are reading, so that when you fall asleep and the book falls on your chest, I would be so close to you.

Don't compare yourself to others. That is more a source of disquiet than comfort. Counting all the blessings of others makes you forget about your own. Besides, everyone you meet is fighting some sort of battle, and you may not know that their pain is far greater than yours.
As for your problems, remember, your focus becomes your reality. When an ox died on the Oregon trail, do you think they gathered around it, crying and scratching their faces saying, "Our ox is dead, what will we do?!" No, they pressed on. Maybe they ate the ox. Grow from your losses. Draw strength from your misfortunes.
Eat the damn ox.

Every single choice -- and every single mistake -- that you've made in your past has helped deliver you to where you are right now in your life. Your past might be behind you, but it will always be a part of you. Those distant dramas will now seem terrifically amusing. Time heals all wounds, and it evens adds an aspect of humor to the bad times.

The illusion of money is that one day, you'll have enough.

There is really nothing, nothing we can do

Love must be forgotten

Life can always start up new

January 26 marks the beginning of the year of the Earth Ox. The last time this happened, the country was slipping into a recession. By holding true to the values of the Ox: Hard work, dedication, thoughtful planning, and stubbornly following through that planning, the country was able to recover within one year.
So maybe for now, instead of eating the damn ox, we should follow his lead.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

That's a big Totoro, in case you were wondering.
General Woundwort's body was never found. It may be that he still lives his fierce life somewhere else. But from that day on, mother rabbits would tell their kittens that if they did not do as they were told, the General would get them. Such was Woundwort's monument. And perhaps it would not have displeased him.
Be still my beating heart.. (..and cue "Dream Weaver"...)

Listen to Bright Eyes, the prettiest song there ever was, sung by Art Garfunkel, from the movie Watership Down

Listen to Frith's blessing. This video, like Bright Eyes, will most likely not be up for long as I'm sure it is violating some copyright laws. When it is no longer available, you can still read all about it on the left hand side of the page. Enjoy!
