Half was born in Sacramento, California on January 30, 1987. The son of a black man from South Carolina and a caucasian woman from California, he grew up uncertain where he belonged at first. He soon began to gravitate towards da hip-hop lifestyle as the result of his mother listening to and playing mainly R&B and Hip-Hop during his early childhood. Around the age of 12 years old Half moved overseas due to his father being enlisted in the military. It was then that he began to involve himself in negative things. After being arrested upon a few occasions and facing large consequences, Half learned that he didnt want to be involved in those type of things. At the age of 15 he moved to Arizona. He started participating in the two main loves of his life, sports and music. Though Half began writing around at 13 years old, he didnt start perfecting his craft until he moved to Arizona. He started making a name for himself in the school and local battles. After graduating in 2005 Half started pursuing his love for the music seriously. Starting off working with a group called BombSquad Records, he learned how to put songs together on record. He then branched off and started his own group called called Collect The Check Ent. (CTC) with a long time friend named Da Kidd. He made his own mixtape selling over 200 copies on his own. Due to the success and progress since the mixtape, Half started a group with singer and good friend Sergio called AfterHourz Ent. Half is now working on putting togehter his own label called M.I.M.E.
