‘AlexMo’ Biography
Alex Morris A.K.A AlexMo has come from a world of big highs and big lows. It all began at an early age of just 4 years old when he started out on a long, promising tennis journey. But, soon following .. the heartbreaking early death of his beloved mother, this childhood dream was cruelly taken away by injury. At 16, he had to hang up his racquets, but only to find a new dream was emerging through his headphones!
Amazed and uplifted by the different genres of the dance music scene, newly energized by its exciting artists and DJ’s, he made a commitment to himself to direct his passion, drive and ambition into this music. A big new world had opened up and Alex was hooked!
At only 20, ‘L.O.S.T.’ the early ‘AlexMo’, had his first release with ‘What Has Become Of Me’, on the legendary Dynamix Label (Nu Energy Collective). It was played live at the Global Panic event in Australia, the new dream was on track!
Whilst evolving his own original sound, AlexMo was already working with leading names in the dance industry. His remix work has included Timmy and Tommy’s ‘Rapture’, Mr Fuzz’s ‘Berlin Flight’ and most recently K90’s uplifting classic ‘Dreamer’!
This new journey is creating a truly distinctive sound betraying the influences and upsets, the ups and downs, that have been the rollercoaster of this young life. We hear the deep sadness and sensitivity come through, but this isn’t allowed to dominate an underlying optimism! The brand new ‘In the Beginning’ E.P. encapsulates this sound and its origins.
At now 24, AlexMo is on his new journey. The future’s bright!
