Not since Spinderella put the flavour in Salt 'n' Pepa during rap's reign in the 80's has there been such a frenzy over women taking charge of the turntables. Why is it when people think DJ they see a guy? There is absolutely no reason physical or mental why either guys or women should be better at it! Unfortunately, there are still those that think a female DJ is a novelty. It's more important to be good at what you do, and not to rely on recognition because you are woman
Things started to get interesting after a chance meeting where d'nyce was given her first show on Street FM, a small NW London community radio station. Considering she had never attempted radio before she impressed them so much that within a month she gained her second show and her name grew within her own local community.A holiday to Cyprus, Ayia Napa 1999 brought a surprise twist of fate. Inspired by garage, and the energy it possessed d'nyce began to buy garage, and by now she had the garage bug. In 2000 another visit to Ayia Napa but as a DJ opened even bigger doors for this female DJ, "it was in this year that I met Mike Anthony and Treble T from Rampage. It so happens that they were looking for a female DJ to bring into the family and they had their eyes on me".This year also saw the first West Indian restaurant in Ayia Napa, started by Ms Dynamites' brother AKALA - wicked everytime!d'nyce has always been active on the gym circuit and is extremely conscious with regards to mental and physical well being. As a result d'nyce trained for two years in the art of Wing Chung with master Austin Goh in Covent Garden, London, and then later with Sensei Rafael Nieto in the martial art of kick boxing. D'Nyce went to fight at the European open kick boxing championships in Bilboa, Spain and returned with a silver medal to her credit.

Update 22nd Sept 2007

Currently I have a radio show: Soul-d-out Tuesdays 7-9pm & Saturdays 11am-1pm GMT specialising in signed and unsigned soul artists from around the world. The station is called hot96 (www.hot96.co.uk). This is my passion and something that I'm actively persuing!
I would describe Rampage as probably the hottest DJ collective going in the UK right now. We play a mix of black music, and everybody who likes black music will hear something they like from Rampage.
Rampage consists of 4 djs (Mike Anthony, Treble T, D'nyce & Legz and the BIG man Dee who fulfills management duties. Whatever genre of black music you support, the chances are you've already been 'rocked by RAMPAGE'. This DJ ensemble is recognised in the UK's club land as one of the most consistent and successful urban music specialists to date.
