- Fiance of the man I love, Jerry.I've learned a great deal about life. It's interesting how things have changed as I've gotten older. Through various experiences, mistakes, failures, and successes, I've learned to see things from different perspectives. I'm not perfect, but I strive for perfection. I understand that I'll have good & bad days - to just accept the things I can't change.I've embraced the saying, "God helps those who help themselves". It's so true! We can't sit back and expect things to just fall in our laps. We have to get up, get out there, and do something with our lives. Make goals that are obtainable. Find out how to achieve these goals & work towards them with every bit of strength we have from within. Don't expect overnight success. We will fall down in the learning process, but we have to get up! There's nothing impossible for God, therefore there's nothing impossible for us. We may get hurt in the process, but God heals those hurts---making us stronger for the next round.I'm extremely thankful for my family & close friends...& the prayers of those who stand in the gap for us. I can't explain the work that's being done in my life...honestly--there's no words that come to mind, other than "WOW!!!" When I let go & let God do his work, life just seems to flow more smoothly.I'm just a real person. I may drink - maybe even smoke a cigar - here & there. I've learned not to feel guilty for everything I do wrong, that yes--I am human...I make mistakes, may even offend people sometimes for my bluntness. I'd rather say what I'm thinking & apologize for it later rather than hold my thoughts inside & blow up later.Simply, I'M ME.
