About Me
Why have a MySpace profile? Not really sure (he says in a crotchety old man voice). But here we are with one. If you're really wanting to reach us, the contact info on our web page is better, but knock yourself out.
Anyway, we play music for kids and their grownups on Saturday mornings from 8 to 10 eastern on 93.9 The River (101.5 in Brattleboro) and from 7 to 9 on Valley Free Radio 103.3 FM, Northampton, Massachusetts. Both stations stream at their websites, and you can stream old shows at our site .
We play both music that's officially for kids (e.g., Dan Zanes, Frances England, CandyBand, Lunch Money, Asylum Street Spankers) and a lot that's not (e.g., Pixies, fIREHOSE, Beatles, Replacements, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, and again the Spankers). And we start and end every darn show with They Might Be Giants (who also wrote and performed our theme song).
I am also Parenting magazine's kids' music stringer -- i.e., I help with their music reviews. I also write a kids' music column for several regional parenting magazines, including Minnesota Parent, Valley Kids, Red River Family, and Little Rock Family.
And if you're a kid, be aware: MySpace isn't for kids. Run! Faster!
