About Me

Only because this shit represents us sooo well... lol.
In 2001 a duo of 6th graders, whom had been friends since 5th grade, formed there own rap group by the name of D-Squad. What seemed like innocent fun would become life. ProminenceAkaPro. and DeuceZ were talented for their ages of 12 and they took full advantage of their talent knocking out many mixtapes, cds, and songs on $10 mics. By 2003 they were introduced to more efficient ways of recording and producing music as Pro. recorded Belly of the Beast and DeuceZ recorded Duel Channel with SicMuse. By 2005 they had shifted gears taking Lex under their wing, a MC that had been smashing rappers in school free of charge. They soon introduced Lex to the fine mechanics of recording and the three would grow to have better chemistry than any school could offer, doing shows and hosting ciphers all around the area. Not being afraid to speak their minds, they recorded many songs that were ahead of their time and they grew to love Hip-Hop even more.
Meanwhile in the District of Columbia, there was a whole movement of Abstract Knowledge, led by a 16-year-old by the name of Kulture God the Abstract. He ended up moving to Laurel in 2006 and during a party Prominence and Kulture God joined forces through the almighty cipher. Prominence immediately informed DeuceZ, who was trying to form the illest and most cohesive young group at the time, about the revolutionary kid who was also ahead of his time with words.
In there first session they immediately bonded and became good friends, seeing they each had a powerful love for hip-hop and life. The group would be known as ROYAL SOULS.
