About Me

I read some DJ websites where they've had their booking manager or a "marketing" rep write out their bio page and it just all sounds like over-hyped crap and as the music industry proliferates the dj-music market, professional promotion "hot air" will increase... I can say I'm a DJ as much as any garage punk band vocalist can say they are a rockstar. Yes I have tables and CDJs and I can rock a gig but I haven't played out in a few years. I had the drive to spin since my first FREEDOM party in 1993 bay area, but never got around to starting until 1996. My personal music range is eclectic from jazz, punk, metal, funk for traditional aural satisfaction, however, for my sets I have played the range - deep house, funky, chicago, breaks, techno, electro, tribal and even harder house - but really anything that can jack ya body and get a dance floor moving I'll put down.
I currently live in Manhattan and love the urban lifestyle - the fashion, food, diversity, culture, people, music all of it. I could do without the "seasons" because coming from Santa Monica, CA winters are bullshit, unless you're boarding in Tahoe ;P :: Check my site for more details, blog, life, bullshit and when I have time, I put my two cents out there about how our society is destroying itself from the inside out...... My passions are family & friends, travel, music and making the most of my time whether I am.
Spontaneity and curiosity have gotten me into trouble but those memories are certainly lasting... I don't ever regret doing anything (as long as there's no pictures to prove it ;) My beverage preferences are small brewery beer, vodka cran, or cuba libres,. Don't smoke but I have a fondness for cubans in stripclubs (or is it cuban strippers in clubs ... either way...), and can still shake my ass on a dance floor even if I don't get to work the cages anymo' - bring it on!

My Interests

A running list of things: sky diving, boarding, road trippin, vinyl spinning, beach chilling, drinking (way too much on some occasions but I've become a wino lately), clubs with LOUD sound systems and freaky VIP rooms, dive bars, choppers, drinks before dinner, hot tubs at 4 in the morning, being loud in the theater (and then throwing sh*t at people that are being loud during the wrong parts of the movie), BBQs, black n white photos, internet porn - Bang bang bang!!!, drunk driving the golf cart, sexy interesting women (my girl), bumping bass, Mexican-falafel-or a slice at the end of a night of binge drinking, trees, international travel, new style art, Texas holdem, Las Vegas, South Beach, SoCal, NorCal, NYC - of course, music not on the top 40 charts, making money, spending money....

I'd like to meet:

I think I'm on here like most people as a vouyer for all those .. freaks - don't even lie like you're on here to discover a new band... If I ever meet someone from this site, most likely it's by accident - taking my order at jamba juice or something ... so realistically anyone with similar interests (music, culture, travel, life) are probably a good start, but first you'd have to take the first step and see if there's a connection... huh well... since most of my good friends have moved from NYC, and the rest are still in CA, I'd be interested in meeting any one new for hitting the lounges, punk/rock/electronic shows and getting tossed at bars... literally... Oh yeah if you're a breaks or house DJ, even better let's swap mixes or even mp3s - Although I haven't been motivated to hit the decks, but some renewed interest from locals could jack me back into it.
