About Me

Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire, at sunrise.
Hello. I live in Birmingham, one of the worst places to live in the UK, and finished studying archaeology a while ago at university with the intention of creating a career within both standard archaeology and also forensic archaeology. During my studies I developed various interests such as the British Neolithic period, GIS landscape analysis, osteology and Roman pottery, however, I went to university in the first place due to forensic archaeology interests. Although I'm a trained field archaeologist, it is unlikely I shall be developing a career within archaeology due to a medical condition affecting my knees and hips, and also because there is a complete lack of permanent archaeology jobs in Central England.
My past archaeology travels have been adventurous. I have trawled through dark prehistoric burial tombs, wandered around Stonehenge, excavated skeletons from a 1300 year old Saxon cemetery, and assisted with forensic archaeology work on Saddleworth Moor.
I have a number of interests, obviously archaeology and history, visiting historical sites, computers and PC games, science-fiction such as Star Trek, music, movies, and learning about the history of the ancient and modern Native American culture. I have collected a number of ancient artefacts over the years including Roman pottery and brooches, an American Indian arrowhead and various fossils.
Over the years, I have been involved in some aspects of spiritualism, mediumship and New Age such as crystals and dowsing. I have often visited historical sites whilst using my camera to capture evidence of spirit on photos. During my visits to Saddleworth Moor, I have heard spirit voices upon the moors. Despite all this, I am drawn more to the living spirits within nature rather than spirits of the dead.
All of life in this world and the next is connected with spiritual energy, which is an important aspect of the beliefs of Native Americans - the 'Great Spirit'. So to myself, nature and its energies is all around us, in the birds and animals in the wild, the past residual emotions felt in cemeteries, to spirits and apparitions. All of us are merely spirits confined within a physical body, and the same is true of animals. Being close to nature, is to be close to the collective spiritual energy that links us all.
I wanted to create my page here to give inspiration and act as a reflection of my many interests.

An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them "A fight is going on inside me... it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferority, lies, false pride, superority, and ego. The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person too." They thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather "Which wolf will win?". The old Cherokee simply replied... "The one you feed."

"The first truth of Buddhism is that life is suffering. And coping with suffering gives meaning to life. Peace is not the absence of conflict. Peace comes from the ability to cope with that conflict."

You are The Hierophant
Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.

All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.
The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant's only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.

"I was hostile to the white man...We preferred hunting to a life of idleness on our reservations. At times we did not get enough to eat and we were not allowed to hunt. All we wanted was peace and to be let alone. Soldiers came...in the winter..and destroyed our villages. Then Long Hair (Custer) came...They said we massacred him, but he would have done the same to us. Our first impulse was to escape...but we were so hemmed in we had to fight. After that I lived in peace, but the government would not let me alone. I was not allowed to remain quiet. I was tired of fighting...They tried to confine me.. and a soldier ran his bayonet into me. I have spoken."

Steve Irwin - wildlife warrior. Sadly missed.
"In the beginning of all things, Wisdom and Knowledge were with the animals; for the One Above did not speak directly to man. Certain animals were sent to tell us that he showed himself through the beasts, and that from them we should learn."

You Should Rule Saturn
Saturn is a mysterious planet that can rarely be seen with the naked eye.
You are perfect to rule Saturn because like its rings, you don't always follow the rules of nature. And like Saturn, to really be able to understand you, someone needs to delve beyond your appearance.
You are not an easy person to befriend. However, once you enter a friendship, you'll be a friend for life. You think slowly but deeply. You only gain great understanding after a situation has past. What Planet Should You Rule?

What animal spirit lives inside of you?

Wolf Inside of you, the spirit of the wolf is sleeping. The wolf is a lonesome traveller in the lonely prairies, the deep woods and the never-ending deserts of ice and snow of the Rocky Mountains, Alaska, the North pole and so on... The wolf is fine with being on his own and managing his days, so are you. But be aware that wolves also live in groups, to support each other and to defend against their enemies with greater success.
