Improvisation in the daily life - the new day is unkown and starts
with the knowledge and expierences from the previous day. Like the trio
with australian/tasmanian saxophonist Dan Freeman, drummer Diego
Pinera from Uruguay and Andreas Schmidt from Berlin on piano, use
the language of music to create communication at the moment of playing.
Three voices giving words to express subjects and directions
enjoying the same right. A flow of sounds which continue in the next
concert where the last one had to stop. Compositions of Andreas Schmidt
and adaptions of standards and folk songs are springboards for free
variations over the themes. The first impulse will be right and aphoristic
entities beside groove. The John Coltrane Quartet, Lennie Tristano
Band, Paul Bley, Keith Jarrett‘s Belonging Band can only be models for
the improvised creations where „pure music with a feeling“ are the basis for departure. A journey for the musician, an event for the audience.
