I'm a Valley Girl (fer sure) here in Southern California), where the summers are just too darned long and hot. I miss rain. I love winter. And Christmas. I'm even-tempered and kinda paradoxical, with eclectic interests and tastes. I'm not really 99, but I do have two grown sons and I share my home with two Toygers, which are precocious 'designer cats'. I'm a psychotherapist in private practice. MY therapy is singing. (Well, wine and margaritas, too). I sing alto/tenor with One Voice, an 8-voice women's acappella group, and with the Village Voices. We've performed at Carnegie Hall, sung back-up for Barry Manilow when he performed at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, and in '05 I got to travel with the group on a concert tour of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia and Russia. What a kick to get to see the world, sing, and travel with great friends! In July '07 I had the great privilege of joining other singers at the Sydney Opera House to sing the Australian premiere of the Missa Americana, arranged by my friend Ed Lojeski. He's fused jazz and rock chord progressions into a traditional Mass. It's awesome! We got 3 standing ovations when we performed it at Carnegie Hall. I just returned from singing in the Haydn Festival in Vienna, Austria. We sang the Missa Americana, and a new work by Ed, Psalms of the Passover. Cool stuff.
