Steve Major & Steve Joseph who make up 'ST.EVES' met in the summer of 2004 while auditioning for the second season of Canadian Idol. Since then, they have given up their solo careers to come together and form the duo that they are today. After making it on idol as far as the top 100, the guys met up in Barrie and decided to sit down and write a song together. Twenty minutes later their first song Dreams Come True was written and ST.EVES was born.St.Eves debut album is now available wherever great music is sold across Canada and the boys just recently signed a deal for the pacific rim. Their release date for that territory still has yet to be determined. Their first single 'All That I Need is currently being heard on radio across Canada. Steve and Steve have performed many times together including: The heart and stroke foundation fundraiser, Barrie's Kempenfest, Performances on television (ROGERS - Daytime and Big Mouth), 'An Evening of Major Entertainment' where the guys helped to raise over $3,000 for the animal shelter in Barrie. The Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival, the 24hr Dragon Boat Relay, Barrie's memorial square during Canada Day, The Cameron House in Toronto during Canadian Music Week, HMV in Georgian Mall, and most recently, they performed at the Foundation Nightclub downtown Barrie.Steve Major started performing professionally at the age of 10 when he landed his first professional stage role as Kurt VonTrapp in Rogers and Hamerstiens "The Sound of Music." He then went on to perform in other productions including: Oliver in "Oliver", Charlie Dalrymple in "Brigadoon", Judah in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat", and Billy Crocker in "Anything Goes" to name a few. When he was only 13 years of age, Steve Major was approached by Leonard Fisher of Hot Mix Productions and recording artist Lorraine Lawson to audition for a group that would later be released by Sony Music Canada "Groove Club." That album can still be found in stores across Canada today. In 2003, Steve Major recorded his first promotional album which included 3 tunes from his stage musical 'Our Story,' that he had written back in '99. He titled the album 'Situations of the heart' simply because every song on the album dealt with a different issue that he had been faced with in his early childhood. Stephen Joseph on the other hand, started off singing in the church choir at the age of six. He was forced to go to choir practice which he hated because, at that time he was so young and had a high baby-voice that he was forced to sit with the girls in the soprano section. That all changed in time thanks to Mr. Puberty. Thirteen years later and still singing in the church choir, Stephen Joseph left home for college only to find out that there are more places to sing other than the church. He rehearsed in-front of the mirror every morning until he was comfortable enough to go to karaoke. When he finally got the nerve to grab the mic, he discovered that karaoke was not enough for him. He decided to audition for the TV show known as Canadian Idol, and that was where he met Major and ST.Eves started taking shape. So, after many long years on the Soccer team, wrestling team, track and field team, improv and dramatic club, Stephen Joseph just wants to sing. The guys have had their share of jobs together and always seem to get fired at the same time, for the same reason. They are partners in crime when it comes to singing at the top of their lungs in the most un-appropriate places. KFC for example, they both worked as cooks for 6 months. When business slowed down, the kitchen turned into their music studio playground. Of course all work with no play makes Jack a very dull boy, so the guys passed the time sword fighting with tongs while throwing pieces of chicken at each other.Steve and Stevo have worked very hard since January 2005 to complete their first album together. They are both very different people and bring two very different styles to the table when they write. Their debut album promises to be very exciting and with their second single ' Easy Come, Easy Go ' just around the corner, and their first music video now airing on music channels in Canada and the U.S.A. , ST.Eves....Steve Major and Steve Joseph....The Saints are officially marching in!
