I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I like shoes.
Also, I like music. A LOT.
I live in Tampa. With 2 cats. The cats are pretty sure that they're the ones paying the rent around here. I, however, am the one that has to go to work every day.
I have big red curly hair that I bitch about constantly, but wouldn't change for the world. I used to wear my glasses when I wanted to look more like an adult, or when I was too lazy to put my contacts in. But, thanks to the miracles of modern technology, I'll have to continue looking less like an adult because Lasik has saved my lazy ass from a lifetime of Acuvue and saline solution. I sing in the car, and I don't care who sees me since you know damn well, you do it too. If my iPod ever went missing, I'd probably have to be checked into an institution. I hate being late, but it seems as though I always AM late. I can remember things that happened when I was 2 years old, but I probably couldn't tell you what happened last week. I like British accents, and mostly anything British. I bite the ends off my Twizzlers and use it like a straw to drink my root beer. I'm quirky. Deal with it.
I spend most of my spare time playing softball. I'm a mediocre ball player on a good day, but once in a while I pull something out of my ass. I also bowl and play tennis. Badly, I might add. (No, seriously... It's not pretty!)
I'm a BIG sports fan. Like, BIG!
My teams are the Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Bucs, Tampa Bay Lightning, LSU Tigers (GEAUX TIGERS!! NATIONAL CHAMPIONS BABY!!), Virginia Tech Hokies and Gonzaga Bulldogs. Don't try to figure out the method to the madness, just trust that there IS one. Oh, and the Oakland A's are the hottest team in baseball. If Linda Cohn says so, it must be true.
I'm also a wee bit on the boy crazy side, and have been known to have some very strange crushes. Currently, the object of my "What the Fuck?!?!" affections is Peyton Manning. You may think it's weird... I however, think it's hot. This is decaf, right?
I like purty pictures and more importantly, my pretty camera which sometimes surprises me with a shot that is actually in focus. Specifically when it's a concert shot. If there is a show with an open camera policy, I am THERE! (Well, unless of course it's a sucky band, and then... Not so much)
All in all, I'm an easy going girl. I travel as often as possible (which is never often enough!), especially if it means I can hit up a show while I'm at it. I'm pretty loud, so it's not strange to hear my mouth from 100 paces. I like to laugh and be silly. Sarcasm is my friend. Making fun of people is just what I DO.
I'm snarky, not bitchy. It's a fine line, you know.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Psychos, stalkers, weirdos, losers, and llamas (Why not kick things off with a little bit of reverse psychology, right?).
Mostly, I just want to get my hands on Peyton...

And also... Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, Scott Fujita, Morton Anderson, Glen Dorsey, Trindon Holliday, Tom Brady, Chipper Jones, Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, Tommy Glavine, Jeff Franceour, Barry Zito, Huston Street, Ryan Klesko, Scott Kazmir, Adam Morrison, Rasheed Wallace, Marty St. Louis, Vinny Lecavalier, Ruslan Fedotenko, Andy Roddick, James Blake, Marat Safin, Linda Cohn, Stuart Scott, Dan Patrick, Kenny Mayne, Craig Kilborn, Ryan Reynolds, Edward Norton, Orlando Bloom, Adrien Brody, Johnny Depp, Jared Leto, Dave Grohl, Brandon Boyd, Damien Rice, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Richard Patrick, Jason Mraz, Lenny Kravitz and Chris Cornell.
If you're not one of those people, but you're still cool, then I suppose you'd be alright, too.

There are no words.

My grandmother died yesterday. She went in for knee surgery and a pulminary embolism killed her. This wasn't supposed to happen. I told her a million times that she was under strict orders to live for...

The truth is such...

This is going to be the most brutally honest blog post I've ever made in my life, and if people don't like it I am going to try damn hard to tell myself that it's just too fucking bad. First things f...

Oh merciful sleep...

Not that this is really a shock to anyone who knows me fairly well and whose familiar with my oh so joyful bouts of insomnia, but guess who is wide awake right now?! Shocker, yes. I know. It's stupid...

Why bother?

Tonight, I spent a good 90 seconds trying to QUIETLY get the key into the lock when I came home. And then I thought... Why bother? She's not there to wake up to the slam of the door, the dog is ...

It all comes tumbling down...

So, I've been in a really good mood the past week or two since I knew that gainful employment was just around the corner. I had high hopes for 2007, but as luck would have it, it's just not going...

Just one of the many reasons why I love music...

Because for the past hour or so I was rocking out to some serious Black Sabbath and now... I'm getting my groove on with N*E*R*D. That is seriously one of the great things about music and about not p...

Yeah, yeah... I'm still alive.

So, I know that once again I have been a bit incognito lately. But, this time I actually have a really good reason. Last Wednesday, I walked into work, put my purse away turned on my computer and the...

You never knew a woman like my Aunt Linda. She was vibrant and free spirited and full of more life than you could imagine. Her smile made you smile, her laugh made you laugh, her hugs made all of the ...
