Biography.
Darren Fisher has lately gained the attention of many people including long time influences, Christian Machado and Laz Pina of Ill Nino. The latin-metal duo began producing songs for Darren's upcoming release entitled, "The Subtle Things", a blend of pop music with elements of rock music while maintaining a modesty of an indie singer/songwriter. The long awaited debut features the single "Make My Move"; a catchy, upbeat tune dealing with the struggle of self doubt and hope while persevering through everyday life. The next single "Dollars to Dimes", is a cautionary tale from a third person perspective of self worth gone wrong.
In April 2009, Darren achieved his most personal accomplishment when he was offered a songwriting lesson with Tony-winning singer-songwriter and composer, Duncan Sheik. Sheik initially found success as a singer, most notably for his 1996 debut single "Barely Breathing". Years later, Duncan expanded his work to include compositions for motion pictures and the Broadway stage, leading him to involvement in the multiple award-winning musical, Spring Awakening. By meeting his idol, Darren honed his skills and validated that his unique, youthful singing style combined with a sincere, honest approach to songwriting establishes Darren as a viable commodity that will ultimately appeal to a large audience.
