About Me

ALBUM - PREORDER (expected delivery around mid December)

'YOYODYNE' - £10 (inc. p&p)

"If Projekt A-KO's sound seems strangely familiar, it might have something to do with them being formed from the ashes of cult 90s Scottish lo-fi outfit Urusei Yatsura.

Their music retains the same slanted charm as ever, and Here Comes New Challenger! is a prime example: quietly addictive, stacked up with harsh guitars and a ramshackle mess of a finale, it recalls Sonic Youth, a kooky hint of Pavement, a dash of The Pixies and perhaps a dash of Velvet Underground to boot. The song itself another nice taster for the forthcoming debut album due later in the year." (BBC Berkshire 11.02.08)

After putting out a few tracks on various compilation albums and split EPs Projekt A-ko are almost ready to release their first single which will hopefully be followed by an album soon after. We'll keep you posted via bulletins. In the meantime please feel free to visit our old and basic website at www.projektako.co.uk where you can download some tracks for free and talk to the band and other fans on the forum. Thanks for visiting our page and showing your support. It's appreciated.

This page is being maintained by Jacqui. We are in regular contact and will provide updates for bulletins/blogs and will get feedback and messages passed on to us where relevant. The top friends may change around, depending on interaction here or behind the scenes.
