Dog person / MONIKA ZAWADZKA ____________________________________________________________ ___________________________________A visual artist living and working in Warsaw. She is currently at a postgraduate PhD course at the Graphic Design Department of Warsaw’s Academy of Fine Arts.She is interested in social problems and relations between people. Her works have been presented, among other places, at a solo exhibition in the Centre for the Contemporary Arts in Warsaw (“Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas”, 2008), as well as TR Warszawa (“The biggest ecstasy of all is avoiding contacts with the society”, 2006)As a commercial graphic designer she co-operates with the most important cultural institutions in Poland.Involved in a number of independent projects, she is also the art director of DIK FAGAZINE (magazine about art and culture targeted at gay readers). Since 2003 she has been managing the ZOO (a non-commercial art gallery located in the emergency exit of the Ministry of Culture).___________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ _____________________________________Artysta. Mieszka i pracuje w Warszawie. Obecnie w trakcie studiów doktoranckich na ASP. Zainteresowana problemami społecznymi i relacjami międzyludzkimi. Prace jej autorstwa były pokazywane m. in. w Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej („Kto kładzie się z psami, budzi się z pchłami”, 2008) oraz w TR Warszawa („Największa rozkosz to unikanie kontaktów ze społeczeństwem”, 2006) Jako projektant współpracuje z najważniejszymi instytucjami kulturalnymi w Polsce. Równolegle angażuje się w projekty niezależne. Jest art directorem DIK FAGAZINE (magazyn o kulturze i sztuce skierowany do środowisk gejowskich) oraz od 2003 roku tworzy ZOO (niekomercyjną galerię sztuki zlokalizowaną w bramie ewakuacyjnej Ministerstwa Kultury).___________________________________________________ __________________
