TODAY IS BORING

About Me

We are a film/DVD archive and film society located in the heart of Dalston, London. We specialise in unique film events and screenings of unusual and eclectic cinema. Our archive carries over 3,000 world cinema, cult, indie, classics and obscure film. This year, we begin our foray into the more ambitious sphere of events promotion, and participation in the promotion and production of film itself. In conjunction with THE TIMES BFI 52nd LONDON FILM FESTIVAL we are happy to present a FILM TRIVIA CONTEST ... Second and third prizes will be £15 and £10 respectively, usable at our new location on Ridley Road Market.* Prizes will be awarded based on whose email we receive first, second, etc.The background is the wilderness in Manchuria in 1930s. The Weird steals a map from a Japanese official. The Bad is paid to get it back. The Good is a bounty hunter who tracks them down. In this unpredictable, escalating battle for the map and the men, who will stand in the end as the winner? Kim Jee-Woon's tribute to Sergio Leone is in the virtually non-stop action, and in the shifting balance of power between the three main characters, played by Korea's top male stars.*Please note that in order to use any credit at TODAY IS BORING, you must have an active account. To open a new account, you will need to present photo identification, and recent proof of your residential address..................................................... ............................................................ WE ARE MOVING OUT OF SHOREDITCH AND INTO THE HEART OF DALSTONAfter six fun years of business in the Shoreditch area, TODAY IS BORING is now relocating to the Dalston area, just a few minutes up Kingsland Road. We would like to announce the opening of our extensive 'speakeasy' film/DVD hire archive and offices on Ridley Road, right in the middle of the street market, on the second floor of a great warehouse space. There are many reasons for this, which are too many to mention here. In the simplest of terms, the reason for this relocation is due to the changes we have all seen Shoreditch going through over the years. These changes are perhaps neither 'good' nor 'bad' (nor 'weird'), but simply less than ideal for our business. Of course, we ourselves were part of these changes. We will be open at our new location from 1 November, and until then, will continue to be open for business in Shoreditch. If you would like to see how things are going at the new space, with pictures in progress, check out our blog.We are ALSO very excited to also announce the introduction of a new touch screen multi-kiosk browsing system, complete with personal account access, recommendations, various searchable criteria, detailed film information, artwork and even viewable trailers, all within reach of your hot little hands. This fancy set-up will make it easy, fast, and interesting for you to intuitively navigate our ever-expanding film archive. We hope to begin rolling this dynamic new system out in stages, beginning in December.................................................... ............................................................ ...............FILM EVENTS TWIN PEAKS MARATHONS, ZOMBIE WALKS, SCREENINGS, ETC ...We are soon going to be resuming our promotion of various film related and cinematic events! With our collective proverbial feet firmly planted in autumn, now is the perfect time! We appreciate everyone who has emailed us over the past while, to be asked to be kept in the loop about our annual Twin Peaks Marathon Experience our fantastic Zombie Walk, and our various screenings. Once we have completely moved to our new location, our attention to the finer things will be undiluted! Stay tuned! We hope to see you again soon!...................................TODAY IS BORINGARCHIVE AND OFFICES: Unit 9 Top Floor Ridley Road Studios 51-63 Ridley Road London E8 2NPPOST: Suite 205 372 Old Street London EC1V 9AU[LOVEMYFLASH]
